Field Systems Technician

On-site technician installs, configures, and maintains hardware and software at customer locations, troubleshoots issues, and provides support across Singapore.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Field SystemsTechnician to join our technical team. You will be responsible for installing,configuring, maintaining, and supporting our in-house software solutions andassociated hardware at customer sites. This role requires a combination of ITtroubleshooting, hardware installation, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission the company'ssoftware solutions at customer sites.
- Install and support hardware including kiosks,mini PCs, printers, scanners, tablets, barcode/QR code scanners, and otherperipheral devices.
- Perform preventive maintenance and correctivemaintenance for deployed systems.
- Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, andbasic network-related issues.
- Configure Windows operating systems, useraccounts, and application settings.
- Perform system upgrades, software patches, anddata backups.
- Assist with system integration involving ActiveDirectory, Microsoft Entra ID, access control systems, network devices, andthird-party applications.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support tocustomers.
- Conduct system testing and User AcceptanceTesting (UAT) with customers.
- Prepare service reports and maintain accuratedocumentation after each service visit.
- Escalate complex technical issues to thesoftware development team when required.
- Ensure projects and service requests arecompleted within agreed timelines.
- Deliver basic user training and operationalguidance to customers.
Requirements
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent in Information Technology, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Training will be provided.
- Experience in IT support, field service, or systems installation is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and computer hardware.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, IP addressing, switches, routers, and Wi-Fi).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to travel to customer sites across Singapore.
