Field Technician
As a Field Technician will assist Field Engineers with field condition assessment of boilers, vessels, piping, steam turbines, and related critical components in the power, chemical, food processing and paper mill industries. This position requires frequent overnight out of town travel. This position frequently operates in a variety of power and utility plants throughout the United States and beyond.
- Responsible for visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic testing.
- Learn and apply NDE sheets.
- Perform volumetric NDE inspections with Advanced Phased Array Ultra Sonics: Triple transducer crawler arrangement.
- Produce detailed inspection notes.
- Interpret, evaluate, communicate and report findings to production and Engineering.
- Interpret and review engineering drawings as required.
- Support the development of NDE inspection techniques for complex geometries.
- General laboring duties (equipment set up, equipment break down, gathering tools, etc.)
- Assist at the project site with field condition assessments.
- Assist at the project site with field inspections of various critical components.
- Operating various types of hand tools and power equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the team.
