In this role, the Field Digital Training Manager is responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of best in class, multi-platform educational content aimed at preparing the Hill’s field (Territory Managers and Professional Consulting Veterinarians) and agency (CLA) teams with in-depth nutritional, product, and executional knowledge in order to earn veterinary recommendation, drive sales and grow share. Platforms will allow for synchronous and asynchronous training, in-person, virtual, and digital formats, and gamification. Strategy will be data-driven and outcome-focused. The field team will be empowered to position Hill’s as a valuable partner across all channels in which Hill’s products are sold, as we strive to transform the lives of people and their pets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 75% of the time, you'll be developing Educational Strategy, Content, and Digital Assets (Develop the training strategy, and execution of assets.(may need modify some content coming from global)

  • Develop a library of "Beyond Product Value Presentations" and train field team on utilization.

  • Working closely with the Field Digital Training Manager develops and executes the strategy for internal education, ongoing skill development, and validation of learning.

  • Delivers internal training materials (resources from global) that meet the needs of diverse learners, including documents, presentations, training videos, podcasts, and activities to equip customer-facing teams with the nutritional and executional knowledge necessary for success.

  • Focuses training around reinforcement of foundational knowledge, product superiority, technical understanding of new product innovation, and flawless execution of commercial initiatives.

  • Validates learning through various mechanisms, such as digital quizzing, and provides actionable feedback to learners, coaches and managers.

  • Manages the availability of and access to material for on-demand learning, including through integration into our Learning Management System.

  • Aligns internal educational strategies with overall US company goals. Prioritizes activities to align timing of content/asset development and execution with the broader commercial/education grids, as an integral member of the Vet Channel and Pet Channel go to market teams.

  • Partners with internal subject matter experts for inclusion of accurate technical material and messaging.

  • Solicits feedback and input from key stakeholders to facilitate ongoing improvement

  • Promotes a culture of coaching and continuous learning.

  • Maintains materials for Nutritional Advocates for Veterinary Professional, ensuring CRGT review and maintains RACE accreditation on materials.

  • 25% of the time, you'll be managing training initiatives

  • Partners with cross-functional teams in the development, planning and execution of our larger company-wide training initiatives and events (National Commercial Experience, District Meetings, Field Communication Call and Field Vet Call.

  • Aids in appropriate messaging and updates to field for product changes, improvements and assortment variance (line extensions, etc.)

  • Manages and helps to oversee deployment of training as it relates to new technical tools for internal and customer use, including digital/web tools

Minimum Requirements:

  • DVM or VMD

  • Current active license to practice within 1 state

  • 6+ years in vet medical practice or industry

  • 2+ years in customer-facing executional roles.

  • Experience with training in adult learning.

  • Experience with the following: educational writing, digital content development, and/ or learning management systems or LMS tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in communication or related field.

  • Undergraduate degree in training or related field.

  • Sales, Marketing, or digital marketing experience.
