Film and Digital Production Manager (19756)
Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Film and Digital Production Manager leads the day-to-day creation and delivery of high-quality video, film-style storytelling, audio, and digital media that support Cornerstone Advisors’ brand, thought leadership, business development, recruiting, and client communications. Serving a consulting firm focused on banks, credit unions, and financial technology companies, this hands-on first-level manager translates complex financial services topics into clear, engaging content for executives and industry audiences. The position supervises assigned production staff, coordinates with external production partners, manages schedules and approved budgets, and maintains consistent creative, technical, brand, accessibility, and review standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and manage end-to-end production of executive interviews, client stories (with authorization), educational videos, webinars, event coverage, short-form social content, podcasts, and internal communications.
• Lead pre-production activities including briefs, storyboards, scripts, shot lists, scheduling, talent preparation, locations, equipment, and releases.
• Direct filming and recording; oversee lighting, sound, camera operation, editing, motion graphics, captions, color, mixing, versioning, and final delivery.
• Assign and review work of direct reports; provide coaching, performance feedback, staffing input, and personnel management consistent with company policy.
• Own production calendars, project intake, prioritization, vendor coordination, and milestone tracking; deliver projects within approved budgets and deadlines.
• Partner with subject matter experts to accurately communicate banking technology, operations, strategy, payments, and other financial institution topics without overstating claims.
• Maintain organized digital asset libraries, file naming, backups, usage rights, release forms, and approved distribution-ready masters.
• Track practical production metrics such as turnaround time, budget variance, revision cycles, output, and audience engagement; recommend workflow improvements.
Knowledge and Skills
• Working knowledge of multi-camera video, field and studio production, audio capture, lighting, editing, motion graphics, and publishing formats.
• Understanding of B2B professional-services marketing and the need for factual accuracy, client confidentiality, and appropriate approval of financial-services content.
Problem Solving/Analysis
• Assess creative briefs, audience needs, production constraints, technical issues, and competing deadlines; select workable formats and allocate resources.
• Resolve production or post-production problems independently within the agreed scope and escalate material budget, legal, reputational, or schedule risks.
Communication and Collaboration
• Work closely with marketing, consultants, practice leaders, business development, event teams, and external vendors to clarify objectives and secure reviews.
• Communicate project status, dependencies, creative recommendations, and delivery expectations clearly to non-production stakeholders.
