Location: Bogotá, Colombia Work model: Hybrid — two days per week on-site at our Bogotá office and three days working from home. Language requirement: Advanced English is mandatory.

About the Role

As a Financial Accountant at Hilti Colombia, you will lead and coordinate key accounting and finance processes, ensuring accuracy, timely follow-up, and compliance with company policies and guidelines. You will work closely with Finance and other business functions to support reliable financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate key accounting and finance processes, ensuring accurate execution, effective follow-up, and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
• Oversee account reconciliations and balance sheet account analysis, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding items.
• Manage and supervise accounts payable activities, including documentation review, invoice monitoring, and coordination of payment processes.
• Coordinate tax compliance activities, ensuring the accurate calculation and timely filing of national and local tax obligations.
• Oversee financial and accounting processes performed in SAP, ensuring appropriate controls and alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests, consolidating information, supporting documentation, and responses across the relevant business areas.
• Serve as a key liaison between Finance and other functions, facilitating the resolution of requests and supporting the effective execution of financial processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and strengthen internal controls, promoting more efficient, standardized, and reliable financial processes.

What You Bring

• Advanced English proficiency is mandatory, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Professional Accountant License (Tarjeta Profesional) is required.
• Experience coordinating accounting and finance processes, including account reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and accounts payable.
• Knowledge of Colombian national and local tax obligations and related compliance processes.
• Working knowledge of SAP and IFRS requirements.
• Practical knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies, with the ability to apply them to enhance efficiency, automate routine tasks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and maintaining appropriate financial controls.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize priorities and follow through on outstanding items.
• Clear communication and effective cross-functional coordination skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on standardization, efficiency, and process reliability.
