Weisser Distributing is looking for a Finance & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. Working directly with our Director of Finance, you'll have exposure to a wide range of responsibilities—from financial reporting and month-end accounting to budgeting, forecasting, tax processing, and process improvement.

You'll have the opportunity to own your work, solve problems, improve processes, and build experience across multiple areas of Finance rather than being limited to one piece of the accounting function.

What You'll Do

• Prepare financial reports and assist with financial statements and management reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, P&L reporting, and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end close.
• Prepare sales tax and other recurring tax remittances.
• Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting.
• Maintain accurate financial data and support ERP reporting and data integrity.
• Look for ways to simplify, improve, and automate accounting and reporting processes.
• Respond to internal reporting needs and assist with special Finance projects.
• Provide backup support across the Finance team as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who knows accounting, enjoys working with financial data, and isn't afraid to dig in and figure things out.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Professionalism and good judgment when working with confidential information.

Even better if you bring:

• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• NetSuite or other ERP experience.
• Budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Sales tax filing and remittance experience.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or wholesale.
• An interest in improving processes and finding better ways to get work done.
