Finance & Accounts Manager

We're looking for someone who doesn't just produce reports, they interpret the numbers, challenge assumptions, and provide insights that help the business make better decisions. You'll be expected to confidently present financial performance during weekly management meetings, support department heads with data-driven recommendations, and build a finance function that scales with the company's growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Finance & Accounts department across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable(AR), General Ledger (GL), cash flow management, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and consolidated reports for multiple business entities.
  • Develop management dashboards, financial reports, and KPIs to support business performance monitoring and strategic decision-making.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, business risks, cost-saving opportunities, and profitability across brands, sales channels, and business units.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, financialforecasting, and rolling cash flow projections.
  • Monitor working capital, liquidity, and cashflow to ensure the financial health of the business.
  • Present weekly financial performance, business insights, and recommendations during leadership meetings.
  • Partner with department heads to analyse financial performance, improve operational efficiency, and support commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations in both Singapore andMalaysia.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
  • Establish and continuously improve financial controls, accounting policies, SOPs, and reporting processes.
  • Support the Directors in strategic planning, business expansion, investment evaluations, and corporate initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CIMA are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Proven experience managing the full spectrumof finance and accounting functions across both Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accountingstandards, statutory compliance, SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, payroll administration,corporate tax, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in e-commerce and inventory-based businesses, with asolid understanding of inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), stockreconciliation, marketplace transactions (e.g. Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop),payment gateway reconciliations, and sales reconciliation.
  • Experience managing multi-entity organisations, including intercompanytransactions, consolidated financial reporting, and cross-border financeoperations. Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to translatefinancial data into meaningful business insights and recommendations. Excellent budgeting, forecasting, financialplanning, and cash flow management capabilities. Proven leadership experience with the abilityto build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, XERO/accountingsystems, and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentationskills, with confidence in engaging senior management and cross functional stakeholders.
