Finance & Administration Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management & Team Leadership

  • Define departmental objectives and ensure the availability of the necessary resources and management tools.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve procedures within the scope of responsibility.

  • Establish reporting systems (KPIs and performance indicators) and internal control processes to mitigate risks.

  • Lead, manage, and organize the activities of the finance and administrative teams.

  • Provide functional leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams.

2. Financial Management

  • Oversee all accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial records, preparation and consolidation of financial statements, and compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

  • Manage treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring, cash forecasting, operational budgeting, credit policy, financing optimization, investment management, tax optimization, and participation in strategic investment projects.

  • Lead the management control function by analyzing financial performance, monitoring reports, and preparing strategic and operational forecasts.

  • Prepare and oversee financial communications for shareholders, investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.

3. Legal & Administrative Management

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Review and oversee legal contracts (insurance providers, service providers, subcontractors), manage litigation, and supervise the company's movable and real estate assets.

  • Manage relationships and negotiate with external stakeholders, including banks, external auditors, professional organizations, and government authorities.

  • Coordinate Board of Directors and General Assembly meetings and manage strategic corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, and asset disposals.

  • Monitor legal, regulatory, financial, tax, labor, and environmental developments affecting the business.

4. Human Resources Management

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.

  • Define and implement HR policies and optimize HR management processes.

  • Manage employee relations and coordinate with employee representative bodies.

  • Supervise personnel administration, including employment contracts, payroll, leave management, and employee records.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead projects to improve the company's information systems, including the implementation of management software.

  • Define and implement the company's corporate and financial communication strategy.

  • Oversee procurement activities, including supplier negotiations and centralized purchasing.

  • Supervise internal audit assignments across the organization.

  • Act as an interim or transition manager when required, supporting organizational change initiatives.



Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (Bachelor +4/5 years) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting qualifications such as DECF, DESCF, DSCG, DEC, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly preferred.

  • Degree from a Business School with a specialization in Finance/Accounting, Political Studies (Economics & Finance), or Engineering combined with Financial Management is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance, preferably including experience within an audit firm.

  • Previous experience in Africa is considered an advantage.

  • Experience within a group or multinational environment is a strong asset.

  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in corporate finance, accounting, taxation, business law, labor law, economics, and financial analysis.

  • Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, auditing, management control, and budgeting.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities in both direct and cross-functional environments.

  • Good knowledge of business intelligence, ERP systems, and data management tools.

  • Fluent French and professional working proficiency in English.
