Summary

Oversee all financial operations for a business unit, including accounting, compliance, risk management, and strategic planning, while leading the finance team and collaborating with senior leadership.

The Finance Director oversees all financial aspects of a business unit and drives the company’s financial strategies in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team. Accountable to the CEO, the role holder is accountable for the financial operations of the business, including finance & accounting, compliance with statutory requirements, corporate governance, and risk management.

This will include the development of operational and financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems. Our core values are central to who we are and how we do business.

Requirements

You will have:

  • Extensiveexperienceinindustryworkinginamulti-entityfinancefunction

  • Softwareindustryexperienceanasset

  • 5+yearsminimumofPQE

Keyskills& Competencies:

  • HoldsanAccountingQualification(ACA, ACCA,CIMAor international equivalent).

  • Demonstrates strength in application of current technical accounting knowledge, particularly International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  • ExperienceofworkingwithinaGrouporganization,submittingreportsintoGroup,workingtoaclose timetableappropriate fora publicly listed company.

  • Hands-onmindsetessential,comfortablepreparingandreviewingreconciliations,postingjournals,and preparing working papers.

  • Hasapassionforeducatingandforlearning,ispatient,constructive,positive.

Role and Responsibilities:

Business Partnering:

  • Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop clear business plans, priorities, and forecasts in line with +/- 5% forecast accuracy targets.

  • Evolve financial processes, systems, and policies to ensure scalability, the availability ofaccurateandtimelydata to make the best business decisions, and tocomply withregulations and corporate governance requirements.

  • Supervise due diligence and take a lead role in negotiations with 3rd parties.

Finance Operations:

  • Responsibility for monthly and quarterlyconsolidatedfinancial reporting to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, and IFRS.

  • Ownership of ‘Quarterly Strategic Review’ (QSR) forecasting process.

  • Financial leadership and application of best practices to processes,peopleand systems to affect revenue,profitabilityand cash-flow, to improve operating efficiency and performance.

  • Recommend and lead efforts to improve business performance as reflected by operating ratios as well as ROIC.

  • Responsibility for Risk Management process review, policystandardizationand process improvements.

  • Oversight and improvement of effective administration processes and systems for company records and contracts.

  • Stay abreast of trends and regulations to ensure effectiveness and compliance for the finance functions.

  • Work closely with all functional leads to ensure projects bids and contract terms, financial and otherwise, adhere to corporate parameters.

  • Coordinate all legal activities internally and with group legal.

  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.

  • Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

  • Oversights of direct and indirect tax filings, ensure the company is both tax compliant and efficient in alljurisdictionsit trades in

People Leadership:

  • Lead and effectively manage the Finance team, the procurementmanagerand the maintenance renewals specialist

  • Drive succession planning and talent management processes.

  • Manager key stakeholder expectations.

Other Activities:

  • Oversee procurement process, including the equipment supply chain and service contract renewals

  • Head the customer maintenance contract renewals process; ensure compliance with internal policies

  • Take a leading role in Sales Operations, attend regular sales pipelinereviewsand lead quarterly booking commitment meetings with the sales organisation

  • Attend management meetings, annual events, and other activities directed by the CEO

  • Help create a culture of learning, trust, and self-improvement

  • Any other duties asrequired

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Candidate must be eligible to work in their country of residence

  • Travel expectation is25%.Must be able to travel toglobally without restrictions.
