Finance Intern IT Finance
Summary
An entry-level IT finance internship supporting Datwyler's internal Finance team: maintaining IT finance and allocation dashboards, reconciling project and ledger data in SAP, verifying vendor invoices, and helping standardize and automate recurring finance processes. Core tools are SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Support the DIT Finance team in finance operations, dashboard data preparation, reconciliations, and process improvement activities. The role will support data consolidation, analysis, documentation in IT finance processes.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Maintain and update user details in IT finance and allocation dashboards.
- Reconcile project costs with SAP reports and follow up on data differences.
- Identify recurring manual activities and support process standardization, documentation, and automation.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and finance projects assigned by the Finance team.
- Support routine finance and accounting processes in SAP, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting activities.
- Assist with vendor invoice verification, posting, and payment documentation.
- Assist with bank, vendor, customer, intercompany, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Coordinate with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and process accuracy.
- Support other finance projects and operational tasks as assigned.
Skills & Technical Competences & Behaviors
- Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related educational background with 1-2 years of experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence in handling structured data.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a structured approach to problem solving.
- Exposure to SAP is an advantage.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
