Finance M&A Integration & Analysis Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Finance M&A Integration & Analysis Manager based in the United States.

This role plays a key part in supporting a growing acquisition strategy by leading finance integration activities across newly acquired businesses. You’ll operate at the intersection of M&A due diligence, financial planning, integration execution, and post-acquisition performance management. The position offers broad exposure across Finance, Accounting, IT, Data & Analytics, Operations, and external advisors. You’ll help ensure acquired businesses transition effectively into established financial, reporting, and operational environments. The role combines financial modeling, analytical problem-solving, project leadership, and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also help develop repeatable integration processes and best practices as acquisition activity expands. It’s an opportunity for an M&A-focused finance professional to have a direct impact on both transaction success and long-term business performance.

Accountabilities:

  • Support M&A due diligence: Review financial information, operational metrics, business assumptions, and forecasts for prospective acquisitions, helping assess opportunities, risks, and potential synergies.
  • Prepare pre-close integration plans: Evaluate target financial data structures, charts of accounts, reporting frameworks, and other requirements to establish effective integration plans before transaction close.
  • Lead finance integration: Manage finance-related integration activities for acquired businesses, coordinating the transition of financial data, reporting structures, budgeting processes, and other core finance capabilities.
  • Coordinate systems and data migration: Partner with Accounting, IT, Data & Analytics, Operations, and other stakeholders to facilitate system conversions, data migration, and alignment with enterprise processes.
  • Support purchase accounting: Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to support purchase accounting activities and ensure appropriate financial integration.
  • Establish performance reporting: Develop reporting processes, KPIs, and performance metrics for newly acquired businesses to provide visibility into post-acquisition results.
  • Track synergies and acquisition performance: Build and maintain synergy tracking, monitor performance against investment theses and forecast assumptions, and identify opportunities or risks requiring action.
  • Develop executive reporting: Prepare post-acquisition business reviews, financial analyses, and executive-level reporting that support decision-making and performance management.
  • Support earn-out analysis: Assist with earn-out calculations, performance monitoring, and related financial analyses.
  • Drive strategic finance projects: Lead or support special initiatives involving process improvement, reporting enhancements, operational scalability, and evolving business priorities.
  • Build scalable integration practices: Develop repeatable methodologies, tools, and best practices that improve the efficiency and consistency of future acquisition integrations.
  • Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
    • Professional experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, corporate development, M&A integration, or a closely related discipline.
    • M&A expertise: Demonstrated experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, or post-close integration activities.
    • Financial analysis: Advanced financial modeling, analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Integration experience: Ability to coordinate financial data, reporting structures, systems, budgeting processes, and performance management across organizations.
    • Cross-functional leadership: Strong ability to collaborate with Finance, Accounting, IT, Data & Analytics, Operations, external advisors, and senior stakeholders.
    • Project management: Ability to manage complex initiatives from planning through execution while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strategic thinking: Ability to assess risks, opportunities, synergies, and business performance and translate findings into practical recommendations.
    • Preferred experience: Background in a private equity-backed organization or professional services environment is advantageous.
    • Functional breadth: Exposure to both FP&A and accounting functions, as well as post-close reporting and business integration, is preferred.
    • Technology: Familiarity with Workday ERP platforms is a plus.
    • Advanced credentials: An MBA, CPA, or other relevant advanced business qualification is preferred but not required.
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

      • Estimated base salary range of $117,000–$158,000, with actual compensation determined by factors including location, skills, experience, education, certifications, business needs, and applicable employment requirements.
