Finance Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Reporting
- Support the Director of Finance in the overall management of the Finance Department.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial records and reports.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with company policies and local statutory requirements.
- Coordinate monthly closing activities and ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Prepare financial analyses, management reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards.
- Assist in developing annual operating budgets, capital expenditure budgets, and periodic financial forecasts.
- Monitor departmental expenses and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial recommendations to department heads and senior management.
Financial Control & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Accor, Rixos, ownership, and local financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong internal controls over revenue, purchasing, inventory, payroll, banking, and cash management.
- Review purchasing transactions, supplier payments, payroll, and operating expenses to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
- Supervise inventory counts and fixed asset verification in coordination with operational departments.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports, tax filings, and owner reporting requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain proper documentation of contracts, licenses, permits, insurance policies, and other financial records.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with all department heads to monitor departmental financial performance.
- Provide financial analysis and cost control recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support operational leaders in budget management and financial decision-making.
- Monitor revenue trends, cost ratios, labor productivity, and profitability indicators.
- Participate actively in Executive Committee meetings, financial reviews, and operational meetings when required.
Cash Flow, Credit & Risk Management
- Monitor hotel cash flow and liquidity requirements.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit, Income Audit, General Cashier, Cost Control, and Receiving functions.
- Review aging reports and support collection efforts to minimize outstanding receivables.
- Ensure effective cash handling, banking procedures, and reconciliation processes.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop the Finance team.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and establish development plans.
- Ensure team members receive appropriate technical and compliance training.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive Finance experience within an international luxury hotel or resort.
- Minimum 2 years in a Finance leadership role.
- Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial operations and hotel performance metrics.
