ECOM Cameroon Commodities is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting activities of the business in Cameroon.
About the Role
The Finance Manager plays a key role in ensuring sound financial controls, accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial planning, while supporting informed business decision-making.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting activities of the company.
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
· Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and overall financial performance.
· Ensure compliance with company financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
· Review financial transactions and ensure appropriate documentation and approvals.
· Monitor expenditure against approved budgets and investigate significant variances.
· Coordinate statutory and tax compliance requirements.
· Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
· Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the Country Director and Finance Controller.
· Supervise, coach, and develop finance team members.
· Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and financial documentation.
· Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial efficiency and cost management.
· Ensure compliance with applicable OHADA accounting requirements and local financial regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is an advantage.
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
· Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash-flow management, and internal controls.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
· Knowledge of OHADA accounting standards is an advantage.
· Experience working in a multinational, commodities, agricultural, or trading environment is an advantage.
· Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
· Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
· Must be bilingual and fluent in both English and French, both verbally and in writing.
