Finance Manager

Key responsibilities:

Financial planning and analysis: Develop financial forecasts and budgets based on strategic goals and historical data. Analyze financial performance, trends, and variances to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Perform feasibility studies from scratch without end-user input.

Financial reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Oversee and manage all tax activities, including compliance with UAE tax regulations.

Risk management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Strategic planning and decision support: Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior management in decision-making processes. Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation strategies.

Relationship management: Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with other departments such as operations, sales, and marketing to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

Team leadership and development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure staff training and development to enhance capabilities and performance.

Required qualifications & experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. A master’s degree (MBA, MSc) may be preferred. Professional degree like CA or ACCA required. Requires several years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting roles within the UAE, with a proven track record of leadership and strategic decision-making.

Strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance. Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights. Capacity to align financial strategies with organizational goals and market trends. Strong leadership and management skills to guide and motivate a finance team. Commitment to ethical standards and financial transparency.
