DHL Global Forwarding Madagascar has an opening for a Finance Manager – Madagascar where you will lead and manage all aspects of Finance function at a cluster level; develop strategy, advise and support business in Finance areas. Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

In this Finance Manager – Madagascar position

  • You will provide support and guidance to the finance team and ensure there is good communication and collaboration.
  • You will ensure controls and processes are in place to identify and enable compliance with laws and regulations, particularly those related to fiscal matters.
  • You will collaborate with the Cluster Finance Team to ensure adherence to internal DHL Group and DGF policies, including but not limited to financial and management reporting requirements, Treasury Policy, and Supplier Lifecycle Management Policy.
  • You will serve as a key member of the Procurement Committee.
  • You will oversee cash flow, working capital, treasury forecasting, and treasury management.
  • You will provide financial approvals as defined by the applicable approval matrix, including but not limited to:
  • Contracts
  • Business case analyses
  • Customer credit approvals via the MA!N Credit Module
  • Vendor creation and payment terms
  • Supplier invoices
  • Supplier payments
  • Payroll
  • Journal entries
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • ICON approvals
  • Petty cash/mobile money reconciliations, where required by policy
  • You will act as the Compliance Representative, responsible for compliance-related activities and requirements.
  • You will coordinate with the Cluster Finance Team, GBS Tax Team, and GBS VAT Team to ensure compliance with all tax laws and filing requirements.
  • You will review monthly reporting and year-end closing activities for accuracy and provide final sign-off.
  • You will hold overall responsibility for ensuring all statutory, internal, and tax audits are completed within agreed timelines.
  • You will provide input for budget and forecast submissions in accordance with DHL processes.
  • You will prepare and present financial reports and presentations for Board meetings and respond to ad hoc requests from Joint Venture partners.
  • You will proactively communicate with shareholders regarding key business topics and developments.
  • You will establish and maintain strong business relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • You will collaborate closely with the Cluster CFO, Sub-Cluster CFO, Financial Controller, and Financial Accountant to ensure alignment and streamlined processes.
  • You will serve as a key member of the Country Senior Management Team, providing insights and trusted advice to steer the business toward profitable and sustainable growth.
  • You will maintain a clear understanding of business performance drivers and effectively address stakeholder inquiries regarding financial results, processes, and performance.
  • You will drive a commercial finance focus to support and promote business development.
  • You will undertake additional responsibilities, projects, and deliverables as required to meet evolving business needs.
