The Finance Manager role was created to address two needs simultaneously: to add senior-level capacity at a moment when the UK Finance team is supporting a concentrated programme of strategic projects and to raise the maturity of the control environment in preparation for an increasingly rigorous external audit cycle.

You will be the Finance Director's deputy — covering Board, ExCo, and governance forums when required — and will have one direct report (Management Accountant).

You will also play a leading role in embedding AI and automation into Finance's operating model, reducing time spent on routine processing and creating space for higher-value analytical work.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience at an FCA-authorised firm — investment management, stockbroking, spread betting, banking, or fintech.
• Strong IFRS technical knowledge and the ability to prepare statutory financial statements, develop accounting policies, work through complex accounting treatments, and document conclusions clearly for audit purposes.
• Working knowledge of CASS 7 (client money segregation) and the obligations it places on an FCA (MIFIDPRU) investment firm.
• Self-starter with the judgement and communication skills to represent Finance at Board, ExCo, and regulatory forums when required.
