Finance Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, taxation, and regulatory compliance in the Philippines. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, ideally gained within the insurance or financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and consolidation in accordance with IFRS and PFRS.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Oversee Philippine tax compliance, including BIR filings, VAT, withholding taxes, and applicable insurance-related taxes.
• Prepare audited financial statements and statutory filings with the SEC.
• Ensure compliance with relevant Insurance Commission, BSP, AMLA, and data privacy regulations.
• Manage premium and commission reconciliations with insurance partners.
• Oversee payroll compliance, including SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions.
• Coordinate external audits and provide financial reports to regional management.
• Support improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, ideally within insurance, brokerage, or financial services.
• Licensed Philippine CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, PFRS, Philippine taxation, and statutory reporting.
• Familiarity with insurance accounting, regulatory requirements, and PFRS 17.
• Experience in budgeting, financial forecasting, treasury, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or SAP Business One.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI or SQL.
• Exposure to insurance platforms, payment gateways, or digital financial services.
