Finance Manager - Technology

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting and control for technology-driven businesses and digital operations in Baghdad. This role will partner with product, engineering, sales, operations and executive leadership to turn financial data into clear decisions, sustainable growth and disciplined execution. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-changing technology environment.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead month-end and year-end close, management reporting, reconciliations and variance analysis.

- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, scenario analysis and long-range financial planning.

- Build dashboards and KPIs for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, customer acquisition, recurring revenue and cash conversion.

- Partner with product and engineering teams on business cases, project economics, capital allocation and technology investments.

- Strengthen internal controls, approval workflows, financial policies and audit readiness.

- Oversee accounting operations, tax and statutory reporting, and coordination with external advisors.

- Coach finance and accounting staff and present practical recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; CPA, ACCA, CMA or equivalent is an advantage.

- 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or senior leadership role.

- Experience in technology, software, telecommunications, fintech, digital platforms or another high-growth business.

- Strong knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cash flow and internal controls.

- Experience with ERP/financial systems, BI dashboards and advanced Excel; familiarity with SaaS or recurring-revenue metrics is preferred.

- Strong commercial judgment, analytical ability, communication and people-leadership skills.

- Professional fluency in English; Arabic is required or strongly preferred.

- High integrity, sound judgment and willingness to work on site in Baghdad.
