About us
Te Taumata is a leadership organisation established by and for Ngāti Whakaue, working across education, te reo Māori, housing development and social wellbeing. Our work reaches hundreds of whānau, rangatahi, tamariki and kōhungahunga every year, guided by manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga, pono me te tika and mana motuhake.
The role
As Finance Operations Coordinator, you'll coordinate the day to day financial operations of the Te Taumata Trust Group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, reconciliations, payroll administration support and month-end preparation.
You'll work in a high performing, close nit team, side by side with the Finance Manager, Management Accountant and Finance Systems and Reporting Coordinator, keeping transaction records accurate, complete and audit ready.
What you'll bring
- Experience in finance operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable or reconciliations
- Good numeracy and strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting payroll administration is desirable
- Working knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax or similar systems
- Confidence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel
- Understanding of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga and the ability to work respectfully in kaupapa Māori environments
