The Role

As FinOps Specialist you’ll work across accounting, billing and accounts payable, giving Finance Operations the flexibility to absorb workload changes and cover absences without leaning on one person for one process. You’ll also support reconciliations and controls, including checks on third-party funds (derdengelden). As AI and automation take over more routine execution, we need people who can interpret and act across processes. This role is built for that shift, not against it.

You will:

• Handle day-to-day work across accounting, billing and accounts payable, moving between areas as workload shifts

• Support reconciliations and controls, including checks on third-party funds (derdengelden)

• Step in and cover colleagues across processes rather than owning a single lane end-to-end

• Grow into a broader, more senior generalist role as you build knowledge across the full Finance Operations stack

• Use AI tools actively to improve your own work: experiment, automate, and share what works with your team.

• A few years of relevant experience in a finance department (accounting, billing, accounts payable, or similar)

• A genuine willingness to work across multiple finance processes rather than specialize in just one. This is not a senior hire; we're looking for someone who can grow into the breadth of the role

• Comfortable picking up new systems and processes quickly; prior exposure to reconciliations or financial controls is a plus

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong plus given the NL-based team and process context

• Genuinely curious about AI: You’re actively experimenting with the newest models / products to supercharge yourself at work.
