What the Job Involves
The role as a Finance Systems Accountant primarily involves supporting the design, implementation, maintenance and optimisation of finance processes within the Council's enterprise systems, particularly the OneCouncil platform. The role spans finance and technology, providing specialist expertise in system configuration, data integrity, integrations, reporting, and more. You will also work closely with Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT teams to translate business requirements into system solutions.
Skills
- Qualified CCAB or actively studying towards CCAB, CIMA, CFA, ACT
- Experience in drafting policy documents for finance/ERP systems
- Experience supporting project delivery for Finance System implementations
- Technical finance skills: Asset/Capital Accounting, Taxation, Budget & Forecasting
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving skills and ability to develop and implement solutions
- Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
- Self-motivation, proactiveness, and independent working skills
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working in changing environments
