Finance Systems Manager
Essential Job Functions
Vision to Vantagepoint Migration
Lead the end-to-end migration from Deltek Vision to Deltek Vantagepoint, including planning, design, configuration, execution, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support.
Assess the current Vision configuration, business processes, reporting needs, and data structures, and help define future-state workflows aligned with Vantagepoint functionality and best practices.
Partner with Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Operations, Information Technology, Deltek consultants, and internal stakeholders to develop and maintain project plans, implementation timelines, testing plans, and go-live readiness criteria.
Manage data migration, validation, reconciliation, and issue resolution to support accurate and complete transfer of financial, project, client, contact, and operational data.
Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status updates, stakeholder meetings, and executive-level communications regarding project progress, decisions, risks, and dependencies.
Gather and document business requirements, configuration decisions, process changes, and project scope to support implementation, training, and long-term governance.
Oversee user acceptance testing, issue tracking, remediation, retesting, and sign-off processes.
Support change management, communication, training, and user adoption throughout the migration process.
Post-Implementation System Ownership
Serve as the primary subject-matter expert and system owner for Deltek Vantagepoint across Finance, Accounting, Project Management, CRM, Resource Planning, and related business functions.
Maintain and continuously improve system functionality, workflows, configuration, dashboards, reporting, and user experience after implementation.
Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, financial reports, project reports, management reports, and other system-based reporting tools to support leadership and operational decision-making.
Monitor data integrity, system controls, permissions, workflow governance, and process consistency across the platform.
Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders and Deltek support, and communicate status and impacts clearly to affected users.
Lead future enhancements, integrations, process improvements, automation opportunities, and system optimization initiatives.
Training, Documentation & User Support
Develop, maintain, and deliver user training materials, process documentation, job aids, and standard operating procedures for Vantagepoint users.
Provide hands-on support to end users and serve as a trusted advisor to Accounting, Finance, Project Management, Operations, and firm leadership.
Translate business needs into practical system solutions, workflows, reports, and scalable processes.
Promote consistent system usage and adoption by communicating expectations, deadlines, process changes, and best practices to stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Governance
Act as the primary liaison between Accounting, Finance, Operations, Project Management, Information Technology, external consultants, and Deltek support regarding Vantagepoint-related matters.
Partner with leadership to identify system risks, operational impacts, reporting gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
Support the development and maintenance of system governance standards, internal controls, approval workflows, and documentation to ensure consistency and accountability.
Prepare reports, analyses, status summaries, and recommendations for leadership to support informed decision-making.
Data, Reporting & Controls
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of financial, project, client, and operational data maintained in Vantagepoint.
Design and support reconciliations, validation routines, audit reports, and other controls to identify data issues and support timely correction.
Partner with Accounting and Finance to support project accounting, financial reporting, billing, revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, and related workflows as applicable.
Utilize reporting tools, SQL, Excel, business intelligence platforms, or other analytical tools to support reporting, system analysis, and process improvement.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience with Deltek Vision and/or Deltek Vantagepoint, including experience with at least one full-cycle migration, implementation, or major system upgrade.
Strong understanding of project-based ERP systems, project accounting, financial reporting, and professional services workflows.
Demonstrated experience with data migration, system configuration, process redesign, testing, issue resolution, and change management.
Strong project management, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into system functionality, reporting solutions, and scalable processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools, SQL, business intelligence platforms, or similar analytical tools.
Professional services experience, preferably in architecture, engineering, consulting, or a related project-based environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Deltek Vantagepoint certification, Deltek formal training, or comparable ERP implementation training.
Experience leading ERP implementation workstreams in a multi-office or multi-entity organization.
Experience supporting CRM, resource planning, project management, financial reporting, or business intelligence functionality within Deltek Vantagepoint.
Experience developing training programs, documentation, dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level status reporting.
Success Factors

Work Environment
This position requires you to be in person in our New York office 5 days per week.
Pay Range:
$150,000.00 - $185,000.00 AnnualWhy KPF?
