We make health happen

At Bupa, we’re here to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives and make a better world. With no shareholders, our customers are our focus, and our finance systems play an important part in helping us keep that promise.

As our Finance Systems Manager – Statutory and Regulatory Applications, you’ll help make sure our key finance applications run smoothly and support accurate, timely reporting across Bupa Group. You’ll work with teams in the UK and globally, helping them get the best from systems including Tagetik, Workiva, Oracle TRCS, QlikSense and tax applications.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the mix of finance, technology and problem solving. You’ll lead day-to-day system activity, support reporting cycles, and help shape improvements that make reporting simpler, stronger and easier for our teams to use.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

As Finance Systems Manager, you’ll:

  • Lead day-to-day activity for our statutory, regulatory and tax finance applications, supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles.

  • Manage changes and improvements across Tagetik, Workiva, Oracle TRCS and related applications, from assessment through to testing and go-live.

  • Work closely with Group and Market Unit finance teams to understand reporting needs and help solve system-related queries.

  • Translate technical, accounting and reporting requirements into practical system changes.

  • Support robust governance, audit and control standards across finance systems.

  • Work with Group Technology and software vendors to keep systems running well and resolve issues.

  • Lead and develop a small team, helping them build confidence and technical knowledge.

  • Champion better ways of working, including improvements to reporting, planning and system functionality.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience designing, improving or implementing finance systems, ideally linked to statutory or regulatory reporting.

  • Strong accounting knowledge, including consolidation reporting processes.

  • Understanding of standards and processes such as Solvency II, IFRS17, IFRS16, tax provision, Pillar 2 and Country-by-Country Reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with Tagetik and Oracle TRCS.

  • Experience working with finance and accounting applications in a large or complex organisation.

  • The ability to lead a small team and support their ongoing development.

  • A clear, organised approach, with the ability to balance day-to-day work and change activity.

  • A focus on governance, controls and audit requirements.

  • Professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACA or ACCA would be a bonus.
