Financial Accountant

For the needs of our client, a leading manufacturer of servomotors, relays, and electromagnets, we are looking for motivated candidates for the following position: Financial Accountant.

Job Description:

• Perform daily financial and inventory accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions;
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) and process related accounting documentation;
• Create and issue outgoing invoices through the Serbian Electronic Invoicing System (SEF);
• Review and post domestic and international invoices, including import and export transactions;
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of accounting balances;
• Monitor inventory movements, raw material consumption, and finished goods, ensuring alignment between inventory and financial accounting records;
• Support inventory counts, investigate discrepancies, and participate in inventory reconciliations;
• Record fixed asset transactions, including acquisitions, depreciation, and disposals;
• Participate in month-end closing activities, including accruals and other regular accounting postings;
• Monitor VAT-related transactions and prepare supporting documentation in accordance with applicable regulations;
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions with the parent company;
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and support the analysis of accounting discrepancies;
• Collaborate with other departments and the Group Finance Team on accounting and reporting matters;Contribute to the improvement and optimization of accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous relevant experience in both financial and inventory accounting;
• Experience in a manufacturing company is a strong advantage;
• Good knowledge of Serbian accounting legislation, chart of accounts, and VAT regulations;
• Good understanding of inventory management, material consumption, and accounting processes related to manufacturing operations;
• Practical experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and daily accounting activities;Understanding of balance sheet accounts and month-end closing procedures;
• Familiarity with the Serbian Electronic Invoicing System (SEF);
• Good MS Excel skills;
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage;
• Knowledge of English is considered an advantage;
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical thinking;
• Responsible, organized, and proactive approach to work;
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate within a team.
