Arancia Technologies Inc. is hiring a Financial Analyst to support the Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager with the day-to-day finance operations of the company. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting support. The role is well suited to a detail-oriented accounting professional who wants to build depth in general accounting while working closely with, and learning from, the person overseeing the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Operations Support

  • Support the Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager with day-to-day financial operations, journal entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and process invoicing and expense transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely turnaround.
  • Help maintain internal controls, supporting documentation, and audit-readiness records.
  • Assist with process improvement and documentation initiatives as directed.

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and required approvals.
  • Support weekly/bi-weekly payment runs and help maintain vendor relationships.
  • Monitor AP aging and assist with timely settlement and audit trail documentation.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Prepare and issue client invoices, verifying accuracy against contracts and SOWs.
  • Support collections activity and AR follow-ups to maintain cash-in discipline.
  • Maintain AR aging schedules and assist with cash-flow tracking.

Banking & Reconciliation

  • Perform weekly and monthly bank, credit card, and clearing account reconciliations.
  • Investigate discrepancies and escalate unresolved items to the Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager.
  • Maintain documentation supporting audit and compliance requirements.

QuickBooks & Reporting Support

  • Assist in maintaining the QuickBooks Online environment, including chart of accounts, classes, and tags.
  • Support monthly close activities — accruals, deferrals, and reconciliations — under guidance from the Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager.
  • Help maintain financial dashboards and supporting workflow tools (e.g., QBO, Wise).

Financial Reporting & Analysis Support

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and KPI summaries.
  • Support analysis of spending patterns, margins, and budget variances.
  • Flag risks, inefficiencies, or improvement opportunities to the Senior Financial Analyst / Finance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: MBA Finance, ACCA Part Qualified or CA Part Qualified.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally including AP/AR, reconciliations, and general ledger support.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and MS Excel (pivot tables, basic reporting).
  • Canadian Experience: Familiarity with Canadian payroll processes and sales tax (HST/GST/PST) is an asset; general awareness of Canadian accounting compliance standards preferred.
  • Work Style: Detail-oriented and organized, able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision on routine tasks.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English communication skills for collaborating with cross-border (U.S. and international) teams.
  • Remote Setup: Reliable internet connection and a secure, quiet home office environment.
