Job Summary
- The Financial Analyst serves as a key financial support role for the Central FP&A Team and is the liaison for short-term financial planning, management & field reporting & analysis, modeling, and other ad hoc requests as needed. This role partners with the central office & local region/market/branch leaders to ensure consistency and repeatable business outcomes as well as partners with field & corporate functional groups in support of various corporate initiatives and requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison for Planning efforts including, but not limited to monthly forecast packages, reporting & analytics, and other key reports to provide management with visibility into the health of the business and to foster profitable growth.
- Assist in preparation of planning packages for external constituents and Board of Directors.
- Coordinate with internal teams / business partners across all levels of the organization to provide meaningful insights and recommend solutions to key business challenges.
- Identify areas of opportunity and implement planning and analytical best practices, including development and support of key performance indicators (financial and non-financial).
- Routine communication with all levels of the organization.
- Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies.
- Additional financial and reporting projects as business needs dictate.
Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of business experience; FP&A experience and/or public accounting preferred but not required
- Experience in a matrixed organization preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
- Comfort preparing and presenting information and offering insights to management.
- Excellent communication and execution to effectively collaborate across cross functional teams under condensed timeframes.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills with the ability to solve problems and a strong attention to detail.
- Advanced in MS Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, charts) and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
- Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers
- Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of time
- Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with a collaborative and dynamic team setting and requires in-person presence
