Financial Analyst

Roles and responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and finance operations activities.

  • Assist with reconciliation of payments, refunds, invoices, and other financial transactions across systems.

  • Review and process returned payments, refunds, and payment-related discrepancies with guidance from senior team members.

  • Perform pre-billing and post-billing checks to identify billing errors and ensure transaction accuracy.

  • Assist in preparing invoices, commission reports, expense reports, and other financial documentation.

  • Support monthly financial reporting by collecting, validating, and maintaining accurate financial data.

  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, and reporting errors and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.

  • Work with customer service, development teams, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to resolve finance and payment-related queries.

  • Assist with implementing new financial processes, system changes, and operational improvements.

  • Perform routine checks and audits of financial transactions and automated processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation required for taxation, audits, and internal reviews.

  • Support basic Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) activities under supervision.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and follow established finance processes and internal controls.

  • Handle multiple finance-related tasks while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Must have

  • 0–2 years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a related field.

  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance concepts, including AP, AR, GL, invoicing, expenses, and reconciliation.

  • Basic understanding of payment and billing processes and financial documentation.

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Basic understanding of financial controls and expense processing.

  • Ability to review financial data, identify discrepancies, and follow established processes to resolve issues.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to learn financial systems, processes, and reporting tools.

  • Strong commitment to accuracy, continuous learning, and process improvement.

Good to have

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables.

  • Exposure to accounting, ERP, billing, or financial management systems.

  • Internship, academic project, or practical exposure to finance operations or accounting.

  • Basic understanding of audit and taxation processes.

  • Familiarity with payment platforms, invoicing systems, or reconciliation processes.
