The Financial Analyst (Costing Accountant) supports accurate product costing, inventory valuation, profitability reporting and cost analysis for assigned manufacturing locations. The role maintains costing data and models, prepares and validates period-end calculations, explains cost movements and partners with Finance, Operations and other stakeholders to improve the quality, consistency and efficiency of costing processes.
This role follows a hybrid working arrangement of four days per week in the office and one day working from home. Working models may vary across teams based on business needs.

What You Will Do
· Maintain cost models and master data for assigned locations.
· Support standard cost updates and annual costing cycles, ensuring inputs are complete, validated, documented and aligned with the agreed timetable.
· Calculate, review and validate sales, cost and profitability data; investigate exceptions and communicate relevant findings to Finance and Operations stakeholders.
· Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations of significant movements.
· Prepare and validate period-end journal calculations for finished goods, raw materials, work in progress and inventory reserves, including obsolescence and lower-of-cost-or-market considerations.
· Work closely with the General Ledger accounting team to support accurate and timely journal posting, account reconciliation and period-end close activities.
· Maintain and update intercompany prices.
· Provide timely updates to key stakeholders on changes in cost model prices and assumptions.
· Respond to audit requests and ad hoc questions by preparing accurate supporting documentation and explaining costing methodologies and calculations.
· Execute costing controls, retain appropriate evidence and raise identified control gaps or data-quality issues promptly.
· Identify and implement process improvements, standardization and automation opportunities across costing and profitability activities.
· Support ERP and finance-system implementation or enhancement projects.
· Maintain process documentation and contribute to effective backup coverage and knowledge sharing within the team.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Practical understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting and manufacturing finance concepts would be considered as advantage.
- Experience in accounting, controlling, financial analysis or a shared-services environment; manufacturing costing experience is preferred.
- Good understanding of period-end close activities, journal calculations, reconciliations and internal controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify data inconsistencies.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with ERP and reporting tools is preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to explain financial topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to organize priorities, meet deadlines and remain effective in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Experience with process improvement, standardization or finance transformation is an advantage.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including glass manufacturing, is an advantage.
What Will Put You Ahead

- Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences
- Manufacturing experience
- Experience in multi country setups and / or global process accounting setups
