Financial Analyst

Senior financial analyst in Denver builds and updates real-estate financial models in Argus and Excel, evaluates properties, and prepares presentations to support commercial real-estate capital-markets deals.
The senior financial analyst role on the Denver Capital Markets team focuses on the analysis of properties and market data to support the sales, financings, and other capital markets events of commercial real estate. In addition to performing comprehensive financial analysis and market research, the position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, proficiency in presenting complex information, and a high degree of motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and update financial models for individual properties and portfolios in Argus Enterprise and Microsoft Excel.
- Conduct in-depth property evaluations through analysis of lease documents, CAM reconciliations, third-party reports, and operating statements.
- Perform comprehensive market and tenant research, consolidating information for internal and external presentations with use of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Actively maintain the team’s sale comps and investor databases.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss deal progress and market trends.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Three years minimum experience.
- Advanced proficiency Argus Enterprise required.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and real estate investment concepts.
- Ability to interpret and analyze complex real estate documents, including:
- Rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and expense-performance analyses
- Forecasting finance/general business trends; developing financial reports on assets, revenue, expenditures.
- Development budgets and accounting reports to leadership; financial feasibility analysis of development projects,
- Financial research for acquisitions and due diligence. NPV & IRR analysis, cash flow modeling, capital planning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to effectively present complex information.
- Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and ability to work independently while managing and prioritizing multiple assignments and deliverables.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to work long hours.
- Commercial real estate experience is preferred.
Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
The expected base salary for this position ranges $80,000 - $110,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
