Financial Analyst – Reporting & Business Analytics

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Financial Analyst – Reporting & Business Analytics to support our finance team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering accurate financial data, insightful analysis, and robust reporting to support strategic decision-making. You won’t just be crunching numbers; you’ll be contributing to the financial health and long-term success of our organization. This position will work on-site at our Riverside, Missouri location.
What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst, your focus will be on driving financial clarity through precise data analysis, automated reporting, and proactive communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and present timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct business case analysis to support strategic initiatives and capital investment decisions.
- Prepare board-level materials and executive presentations, translating complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
- Develop and maintain the company’s rolling 12-month budget and planning model, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain automated financial reporting dashboards and models to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to provide variance analysis and operational insights.
- Identify process improvements within financial reporting systems to drive efficiency.
- Maintain documentation and data integrity for financial systems and reporting tools.
- Protect operations by keeping financial information and strategic plans confidential.
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data structures and relational databases, including the ability to understand how data is organized.
- Ability to work with and manipulate data from multiple systems, including experience working with ERP databases and complex data structures.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and PowerPoint; familiarity with ERP systems.
- Proven ability to build executive-level presentations and board-ready materials.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining rolling budget/planning models.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret complex data sets and perform business case analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on process improvement.
Preferred:
- Experience in financial analysis, corporate reporting, or general accounting.
- Familiarity with financial reporting software (BI tools, etc.).
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing project environments.
- Interest in or experience with leveraging AI tools for financial reporting and process automation.
