Financial Controller

• Oversee the full accounting operations, including financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, general ledger, project cost accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cash management

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled and documented

• Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, maintaining efficient invoicing, collections, and payment processes

• Oversee the collection and analysis of financial data to ensure spending complies with policies and regulations.

• Supervise team members to maintain records of financial transactions, ensure legal compliance, create, and track invoices to clients, and review accurate and timely computation and payment of payroll and expenses.

• Serve as a financial advisor to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic decision-making

• Establish and maintain accounting procedures, a robust controls and compliance environment; and design and adherence to a monthly accounting calendar

• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements

• Lead the coordination of the year-end external audit, ensuring timely and efficient completion of the audit and addressing all auditor inquiries

• Lead tax coordination with external tax advisors

• Oversee and manage all billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Ensure compliance with applicable revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) including new contracts, modifications and terminations.

• Be the subject matter expert in client contracts, interpreting terms and conditions impacting revenue recognition, preparing and reviewing analyses, assessing exceptions, and providing guidance related to any revenue impacts.
