The role offers significant autonomy and requires strong judgment, accuracy, and a proactive approach to financial decision-making.
You will maintain clear visibility into cash positions and forecasts while ensuring suppliers, contractors, and company expenses are managed efficiently.
You will also help strengthen banking relationships, account security, and internal controls as the business continues to scale.
The ideal candidate is a practical finance operator who enjoys building structure, identifying risks early, and owning critical processes end to end.
Accountabilities:
- Monitor daily cash flow and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to provide accurate visibility into liquidity and upcoming financial needs.
- Own the full payment cycle, including supplier and contractor payments, company cards, and related approvals, ensuring transactions are accurate, timely, and properly controlled.
- Develop and manage working capital strategies by optimizing payment terms, coordinating outflows with incoming cash, and minimizing idle funds.
- Oversee card and account security, including spending controls, limits, monitoring, and proactive identification of unauthorized or unusual activity.
- Maintain robust internal financial controls, appropriate segregation of duties, and reliable finance processes across the organization.
- Support banking relationships and working-capital facilities, helping ensure appropriate access to liquidity and efficient financial operations.
- Identify financial and operational risks early, recommend corrective actions, and proactively resolve potential issues before they impact the business.
- Take end-to-end ownership of core finance operations while working independently in a lean, fast-paced environment.
- Use financial data and reporting to support sound operational decisions and maintain a clear understanding of the company's financial position.
- Contribute to the adoption of AI-assisted finance workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
- 5+ years of professional experience in a Financial Controller, Treasury, Senior Finance Operations, or comparable finance leadership role.
- Experience in high-volume e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, consumer businesses, or another similarly fast-paced operating environment is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and confidence managing day-to-day accounting and finance processes.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills with the ability to analyze financial data, build forecasts, and identify trends or potential risks.
- Strong understanding of cash management, liquidity forecasting, payment operations, working capital, and financial controls.
- Genuine interest in and openness to using AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve finance operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when managing sensitive financial information and high-value transactions.
- High level of discretion, integrity, accountability, and professional judgment.
- Proactive, low-ego working style with the ability to take ownership and make decisions without extensive supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues before they become material business risks.
- Ability to thrive in a lean, rapidly evolving environment where processes may need to be built or improved from the ground up.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when coordinating financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Competitive compensation of $5,000–$7,000 USD per month.
- Fully remote position with the flexibility to work from a location in the United States.
- Opportunity to work with fast-scaling, premium consumer brands.
- High level of autonomy and meaningful ownership over a critical business function.
- Growth-oriented environment with opportunities for career development and advancement.
- Exposure to modern, AI-assisted finance workflows and operational processes.
