As the company continues its growth, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller to strengthen our financial operations, reporting, compliance, and business analytics capabilities. Position Overview:
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving financial discipline across the organization. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, international SaaS environment and partnering closely with executive leadership. The successful candidate will be based in Jerusalem and work directly with the CEO, department managers, accountants, auditors, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Accounting
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
Manage revenue recognition and SaaS-related accounting treatments.
Support external audits and ensure readiness throughout the year.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Build and maintain departmental budgets and forecasts.
Analyze budget versus actual performance and explain variances.
Develop management reports and dashboards for executive leadership.
Monitor key SaaS metrics including:
ARR
MRR
NRR
GRR
Churn
CAC
LTV
EBITDA
Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Support ISO 27001, GDPR, and other compliance initiatives from a financial perspective.
Review contracts, purchasing processes, and approval workflows to ensure financial governance.
Business Operations & Cost Management
Analyze vendor agreements and procurement spending.
Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce costs.
Review pricing structures, discount approvals, and commercial terms.
Monitor commission calculations and incentive programs.
Identify revenue leakage and recommend corrective actions.
Leadership & Collaboration
Work closely with department heads to improve financial visibility and accountability.
Partner with the CEO on strategic initiatives and financial planning.
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, legal advisors, and banking partners.
Drive automation and process improvements across financial operations.
Requirements:
Mandatory
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or controlling roles.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills.
Fluent English (written and spoken).
Ability to work full-time from Jerusalem.
Highly Preferred
Previous experience at one of the Big Four accounting firms (PwC, EY, Deloitte, or KPMG).
Experience working with SaaS, technology, telecommunications, or software companies.
Experience supporting international operations and multi-entity organizations.
Familiarity with IFRS reporting standards.
Experience with ERP, BI, and financial reporting systems.
