Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client in Cork, a progressive dealer group who are seeking an experienced Financial Controller. The Financial Controller will be a key member of the senior management team.

The Role

• Make recommendations to Management about financial strategies and objectives for the dealership
• Provide management with timely reviews of dealership’s financial status and progress in its various activities
• Prepare a monthly financial statement
• Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis
• Prepare reports to forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Convey the financial condition of each department to the department manager
• Oversees dealership accounting
• Provide meaningful analysis on all commercial decisions
• Maintain good working relationship with banks and other financial institutions
• Ensures that annual audit requirements are met
• Ensure that all business dealings are compliant with laws and regulations

Requirements:

• At least 2 years experience in a similar role in a dealership
• In-depth experience in all areas of retail automotive accounting (including assistance to GM/DP in strategic planning, balance sheet management and all payroll and dealership HR functions)
• Experience working with management team on financial analysis and expense control
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of MS Office software Word and Excel

Substantial salary package, commensurate on experience.
