Financial Counselor - Onsite
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Client Assessment and Consultation:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' financial situations, including income, expenses, debts, and insurance coverage.
- Provide personalized financial counseling to clients based on their specific needs and goals.
- Financial Planning and Advice:
- Develop and implement financial plans to help clients manage their medical expenses and other financial responsibilities.
- Advise clients on budgeting, debt management, and financial strategies to improve their financial stability.
- Insurance and Benefits Guidance:
- Assist clients in understanding their health insurance benefits, including coverage limits, exclusions, and claims processes.
- Help clients explore options for additional financial assistance, including government programs and charitable resources.
- Document and Record Management:
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions, financial assessments, and plans.
- Prepare and review financial documents, including promissory notes, payment agreements, and insurance claims.
- Education and Outreach:
- Educate clients on financial literacy topics, including managing medical bills, understanding insurance policies, and building a budget.
- Conduct workshops or seminars on financial counseling topics as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to address clients' financial needs.
