Financial Crime Operations Specialist
You will monitor customer transactions and account activity, investigate alerts, review Sources of Funds and Sources of Wealth, assess financial crime risks, and conduct holistic customer reviews. You will document findings, close or escalate cases, identify emerging patterns, improve monitoring processes, use approved AI tools, and maintain audit-ready records.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze customer transactions and account activity
- Investigate transaction monitoring and fraud detection alerts
- Conduct Source of Funds and Source of Wealth reviews
- Identify money laundering fraud and other financial crime risks
- Perform holistic customer reviews using KYC and transaction information
- Decide whether to close escalate or further investigate cases
- Document investigations findings decisions and rationale
- Escalate suspicious or high-risk activity
- Prepare investigation summaries and supporting evidence
- Identify emerging fraud and AML patterns
- Provide feedback on monitoring rules alerts thresholds and processes
- Use and validate approved AI automation and analytical tools
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks
- Maintain accurate complete and audit-ready case records
Requirements
- Previous experience in transaction monitoring AML fraud financial crime compliance or risk
- Understanding of AML/CTF fraud risks KYC/CDD transaction monitoring and financial crime typologies
- Knowledge or experience reviewing Source of Funds and Source of Wealth information
- Strong analytical and investigative skills
- Ability to assess information objectively and make well-reasoned decisions
- Strong attention to detail and case documentation skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with transaction monitoring systems case management tools Excel and analytical platforms
- AI and digital literacy
- Ability to work independently manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
- Proactive and curious mindset
