Financial Management Analyst

About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Aurora, Colorado. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service.

Conduct internal control reviews in accordance with DoD Risk Management and Internal Control guidance, Office of Management and Budget Circular A-123, and the Government Accountability Office Standards for Internal Control in the Federal Government.

Ensure that the Agency Financial Report (AFR) is compiled according to the standards of OMB Circular A-136,Financial Reporting Requirements.

Provide financial accounting analysis for various accounting functions including the review, reconciliation, and correction of errors.

Contribute to achieving objectives in audit sustainment, financial reporting, compliance, and operational objectives.

Perform audits of payment documentation and disbursements for the TRICARE health care program.

Support the creation and implementation of corrective action plans to remedy audit cited deficiencies.

Validate data on the quarterly financial statements are fully documented and supported for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

Review and evaluate Service Provider SOC 1 Reports and address complementary user entity controls identified by the service provider.
