Financial Management Analyst

About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center, Defense Health Agency, Defense Health Network Pacific Rim, San Diego, CA Directorate of RM (Financial Management). The primary purpose of this position is to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts by performing audit and financial management analysis activities. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Performs or advises on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.

Analyzes, interprets, and presents financial data of the organization's programs and administrative operations.

Identifies variances/discrepancies, performs Root Cause Analysis and report findings regarding budgetary concerns.

Conduct special studies on programs unique to the organizations funded activities.

Serve as liaison in matters pertaining to audit/audit assertion, monthly, quarterly or annual financial reporting, and/or data requirements.

Utilize financial systems to analyze large volumes of data, interpret results, and conduct audits.
