FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary

Analyze and manage financial data for the U.S. Navy using ERP systems and budget tools to produce reports and resolve accounting discrepancies.

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FLEET COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

You will utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System, Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Defense Travel System (DTS), War Data Platform (WDP/Jupiter, Foundry, as well as underlying data lakes and sources.

You will manage the end-to-end development lifecycle of financial management tools, systems, and budget execution reports, ensuring they meet the needs of Department of Navy stakeholders.

You will govern the full data lifecycle of the command's financial management tools, establishing standardized data validation procedures to ensure general ledger and budget data is primed for analysis.

You will clean, structure, and validate complex financial datasets, resolving lines of accounting (LOA) and budget execution discrepancies to maintain a high rate of report accuracy.

You will apply financial policies set forth by DOD such as the Operations and Maintenance, Navy (OMN), Operations and Maintenance, Navy Reserves (OMNR), and Other Procurement Navy (OPN) Appropriation Finance Law.

You will isolate and define unknown conditions, resolve critical problems, and develop new theories concerning budget, accounting, and financial management programs.

You will assign tasks across the BSO and subordinate commands; monitor and review progress; and report on work progress through all stages of completeness and consolidate inputs as necessary.
