Financial Planner
You develop and deepen client relationships in the mass affluent market by providing investment and financial planning advice. You execute business development plans, acquire new clients, conduct needs analyses, implement investment solutions, communicate proactively with prospects, participate in community events and seminars, expand your professional network, and manage local marketing activities.
Responsibilities
- Execute business development plans for prospects and existing clients
- Identify business development opportunities
- Implement investment solutions or refer clients to appropriate partners
- Provide client-centric investment solutions through financial planning
- Conduct outbound communications and proactive calls to prospects
- Conduct complimentary needs analyses across financial statements
- Participate in professional and community events and associations
- Deliver community information sessions and financial seminars
- Build and maintain a market profile
- Network with investment industry specialists
- Manage a budget for independent marketing activities
- Drive investment sales and new client acquisition
- Follow sales principles, compliance requirements, and regulations
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales
- Mutual funds certification
- MFDA licensing in good standing
- Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course
- Personal Financial Planning designation or Certified Financial Planner designation
- Networking skills
- Client acquisition skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Centres of Influence experience
- Knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment
- Valid driver's license
