Open 30d

Funding Societies | Modalku is the largest SME digital finance platform in Southeast Asia. We are licensed and operating in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam, and backed by Sequoia India (Peak XV), Softbank Vision Fund, Khazanah and SMBC bank amongst many others. Funding Societies | Modalku provides business financing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which is funded by individual and institutional investors, as well as payments solutions to SMEs and consumers.

Here at Funding Societies | Modalku we live by our core values GETFS:

    • Grow Relentlessly: Strive to become our best, most authentic selves.
    • Enable Teamwork, Disable Politics: Only by forging togetherness, we help each other succeed.
    • Test Measure Act: Stay curious and reinvent ourselves, through innovation and experimentation.
    • Focus on Impact: Create impact through bias for action and tangible results.
    • Serve with Obsession: Build win-win relationships for the long-term by having a customer obsession.

Funding Societies is looking for FP&A Intern to join our Finance team in Singapore. You will work directly with the FP&A function to support monthly reporting, budgeting, and business performance analysis across our multi-market operations in Southeast Asia. This is a hands-on role — you will work with real data and real deliverables, not slide decks about slide decks.

Requirements

What you will do:

    • Support the implementation of our new FP&A tool, contributing to the transition from manual processes toward a more automated finance stack
    • Help automate recurring reports and dashboards, reducing manual effort in the FP&A reporting pipeline
    • Work with complex financial datasets, help map data flows turning raw financials into clear, actionable insights for management
    • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned

What we are looking for:

    • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
    • Strong Excel skills — able to build and navigate multi-sheet models independently
    • Comfortable working with large datasets and translating numbers into clear management commentary
    • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of numerical accuracy — you flag anomalies, not just report them

You may be a good fit if you:

    • Enjoy a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple deliverables without dropping the ball on accuracy
    • Have a high bar for quality and take ownership of outputs end-to-end
    • Are comfortable with ambiguity — you structure the problem yourself rather than waiting for a perfect brief
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, in numbers and in words
    • Exposure to Python or SQL would be advantageous, even from coursework — we use both in our data stack
    • Are genuinely curious about fintech, SME lending, or Southeast Asian markets

Benefits

  • Flexible working - We believe in giving back the control of work & life to our people. We trust our people and love to provide the space to accommodate each and everyone's working style and personal life.
  • Mental health and wellness - We understand that our team productivity is directly linked to our mental and physical health. Hence we organize org-wide fitness initiatives and engage partners to provide well-being coaching.
  • Tech support - We provide a company laptop for our employees and the best possible support for the right equipment/tools to enable high productivity.
