SUMMARY
The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, and financial performance analysis for assigned business areas. This role partners closely with business and operational leaders to translate financial and operational data into clear insights, support strategic decisions, improve planning accuracy, and strengthen financial discipline.

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and be based in the Philadelphia office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and business-performance analysis processes.
  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and business leaders by translating financial and operational data into clear insights, recommendations, and actionable plans.
  • Develop reliable financial models and reporting that support growth initiatives, resource allocation, profitability improvement, capital planning, and long-range strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial information is available to leadership while continuously improving FP&A processes, tools, and controls.
  • Evaluate financial implications of proposed investments, contracts, new products or services, organizational changes, acquisitions, capital expenditures, and other strategic decisions.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario modeling to assess financial risks and opportunities under varying business conditions.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding financial results, strategic plans, compensation information, and other sensitive company data.
  • Ensure work is completed in compliance with company policies, internal controls, applicable accounting practices, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses, reports, and presentations as requested by the CFO and senior leadership.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field; equivalent experience in all aspects of financial planning and analysis for a company may be considered in lieu of a degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, management reporting, and strategic financial-planning activities.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders to explain financial performance, influence decisions, and support operational planning
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, financial-planning tools, business-intelligence platforms, reporting tools, and data visualization software preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex financial information for varied audiences.
