Job Summary

The Financial Review Specialist is responsible for reviewing financial documentation submitted in support of Medicaid eligibility applications to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements. This role requires the ability to analyze financial records, identify discrepancies, document findings, and process cases in accordance with established policies, procedures, service level agreements (SLAs), and HIPAA regulations.

Working within a structured production environment, the Financial Review Specialist will consistently deliver high-quality work while meeting productivity targets and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and accuracy. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.


Work Schedule

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Standard Hours: Based on client operational requirements - any shift between 8:00 am CST to 6:00pm CST
  • Location: Onsite – Kingston, Jamaica
  • Time Zone: Must be available to work aligned with U.S. business hours
  • Daylight Savings: Work schedule may adjust to align with U.S. Daylight Saving Time
  • Flexibility: Required based on client and operational needs

Financial Document Review & Analysis – Review bank statements, financial statements, tax documents, billing records, income documentation, and supporting financial records submitted for Medicaid eligibility applications. Verify completeness, identify discrepancies, determine missing information, and accurately document findings while ensuring compliance with established client requirements.

Case Documentation & Quality Assurance – Maintain accurate case documentation, record findings, update internal systems, and ensure all reviews meet quality standards, service level agreements (SLAs), HIPAA requirements, and company policies. Escalate cases requiring additional investigation or clarification.

Productivity & Workflow Management – Manage daily case assignments, prioritize workload, meet productivity expectations, maintain accuracy standards, and consistently achieve established turnaround times while balancing quality and efficiency.

Compliance & Confidentiality – Handle sensitive financial and healthcare information with the highest level of confidentiality. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy regulations, client requirements, and VLBPO policies governing information security and document handling.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement – Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and leadership to resolve case issues, participate in training initiatives, provide feedback on process improvements, and contribute to continuous operational excellence.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)

Education

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking & Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; or
  • Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) in a related discipline.
  • Final-year university students with strong analytical abilities are encouraged to apply.

Experience

  • Previous experience in financial document review is preferred but not required for exceptional candidates.
  • Six (6) months to two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas is considered an asset:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience reviewing financial or eligibility documentation.
  • Experience working within a healthcare, insurance, banking, financial services, or BPO environment.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid or healthcare eligibility processes.
  • Experience working within quality-driven production environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA or data privacy requirements is an asset.

Work Conditions / Physical Demands / Travel Requirements

This position operates in a professional onsite office environment and requires:

  • Extended periods of computer use while reviewing financial documentation.
  • Reviewing high volumes of detailed financial and healthcare records.
  • Maintaining sustained concentration and accuracy throughout the workday.
  • Meeting strict productivity and quality expectations.
