Financial Service Manager

The Tier 2 Financial Advisory Team Manager is a frontline management position responsible for leading, supervising and developing a team of Financial Advisers. The role focuses on driving adviser productivity, professional development, quality advisory standards and business growth through structured coaching, field accompaniment and performance management.

Each Team Manager will be assigned approximately 3–5 Financial Advisers (expandable as the organisation grows) and will be accountable for ensuring that every adviser achieves consistent professional and commercial success while maintaining regulatory and ethical standards.

The successful candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, practical sales experience and a passion for developing people.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Supervision

•⁠ ⁠Lead, supervise and manage an assigned team of Financial Advisers.

•⁠ ⁠Set clear expectations, business objectives and individual development plans.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct regular one-to-one coaching sessions with advisers.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor individual performance against agreed KPIs.

•⁠ ⁠Foster a high-performance, collaborative and accountable team culture.

•⁠ ⁠Build strong morale and engagement within the team.

Coaching & Adviser Development

•⁠ ⁠Mentor new and existing advisers through structured development programmes.

•⁠ ⁠Identify competency gaps and implement coaching plans.

•⁠ ⁠Assist advisers in developing prospecting, relationship management and financial planning skills.

•⁠ ⁠Provide guidance on client servicing, sales strategies and business development.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct role plays, case discussions and skills workshops.

•⁠ ⁠Support advisers in achieving professional certifications and continuous learning.

Joint Field Work

•⁠ ⁠Conduct regular joint client appointments with advisers.

•⁠ ⁠Observe advisers during client meetings and provide constructive feedback.

•⁠ ⁠Demonstrate best practices in:

•⁠ ⁠Fact-finding

•⁠ ⁠Needs analysis

•⁠ ⁠Financial planning

•⁠ ⁠Product recommendation

•⁠ ⁠Objection handling

•⁠ ⁠Closing techniques

•⁠ ⁠Help advisers improve client engagement and conversion rates.

•⁠ ⁠Ensure advisers maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance during client interactions.

Performance Management

•⁠ ⁠Track individual production and activity metrics.

•⁠ ⁠Review pipeline management and business opportunities.

•⁠ ⁠Assist advisers in setting weekly and monthly business plans.

•⁠ ⁠Conduct regular performance reviews.

•⁠ ⁠Recognise high performers while proactively addressing performance gaps.

•⁠ ⁠Recommend appropriate interventions where improvement is required.

Recruitment & Talent Development

•⁠ ⁠Participate in the recruitment and selection of Financial Advisers.

•⁠ ⁠Identify high-potential individuals for future leadership development.

•⁠ ⁠Assist in onboarding newly appointed advisers.

•⁠ ⁠Support retention initiatives and career progression planning.

Business Growth

•⁠ ⁠Drive team production and revenue growth.

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with senior management to execute business strategies.

•⁠ ⁠Encourage cross-selling and holistic financial planning solutions.

•⁠ ⁠Promote client-centric advisory practices.

•⁠ ⁠Support company campaigns and strategic initiatives.

Compliance & Risk Management

•⁠ ⁠Ensure all advisers comply with MAS regulations, company policies and internal procedures.

•⁠ ⁠Reinforce ethical conduct and proper advisory practices.

•⁠ ⁠Monitor documentation quality and sales processes.

•⁠ ⁠Escalate compliance concerns where necessary.

•⁠ ⁠Promote a culture of integrity and professionalism.

•⁠ ⁠Submit regular reports on:

•⁠ ⁠Team performance

•⁠ ⁠Adviser development

•⁠ ⁠Coaching activities

•⁠ ⁠Recruitment progress

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

•⁠ ⁠Diploma or Degree in any discipline.

•⁠ ⁠Relevant CMFAS certifications (or ability to obtain before appointment).

•⁠ ⁠Eligible to act as a Financial Adviser Representative in Singapore.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
