Financial Services Attorney (Princeton, NJ)

A well-regarded, full-service regional law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney for its Banking & Financial Services group in Central New Jersey. You will handle commercial lending and real estate finance work on the lender side, within a collaborative team that represents banks and commercial clients.

This role is 3/2 hybrid, and compensation is competitive with base + bonus up to $170K total comp.

What You’ll Do

• Represent banks, financial institutions, and commercial lenders in secured financing and commercial lending transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents
• Handle lender-side commercial real estate finance matters, including acquisitions, refinancings, and other secured loans
• Advise clients on banking, secured transactions, and related business issues
• Run complex financing and real estate transactions from kickoff through closing
• Work with attorneys in other practice areas to deliver practical, business-minded solutions
• Build lasting client relationships through responsiveness and strong service

What You Bring

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• New Jersey Bar admission (required); Pennsylvania Bar admission (strongly preferred)
• Roughly 3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate, commercial finance, banking, or secured transactions
• Experience representing financial institutions in commercial lending and lender-side CRE finance
• Background in asset-based lending, secured transactions, and business financing
• SBA lending experience (504 and/or 7(a)) is a plus
• In-house experience at a bank or financial institution is welcome
