Financial Strategy & Insights Manager

Role Overview

The Financial Strategy & Insights Manager will drive financial planning, business analysis, and strategic insights for the Consumer Finance business. This role will be responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making, supporting business growth, and ensuring financial sustainability. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Financial Strategy & Insights Manager will combine analytical rigor with strategic thinking to deliver actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and strategic planning processes, aligning financial goals with business priorities.

  • Develop dynamic forecasting models and scenario planning to support long-term strategic initiatives.

  • Partner with commercial, risk, and operations teams to validate assumptions and align strategies with financial targets.

Financial Insights & Reporting

  • Deliver management reports, performance dashboards, and deep-dive analysis on revenue, portfolio performance, and cost efficiency.

  • Translate financial data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.

  • Prepare board and leadership presentations that highlight performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.

Business Partnering & Decision Support

  • Provide financial insights for product strategy, pricing models, and new initiatives in consumer finance (BNPL, credit cards, lending).

  • Collaborate with Risk and Operations to assess portfolio quality, credit appetite, and profitability.

  • Support capital allocation and funding strategy with analytical recommendations.

  • Performance Monitoring & Governance

  • Track and monitor key business and financial KPIs, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.

  • Enhance financial discipline across the business by improving forecasting accuracy and cost control.

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
