Financial Systems Administrator

Important: This position requires both Accounting and Information Technology (IT) experience. Candidates must possess demonstrated experience in both disciplines to be considered. Applicants with experience in only one of these areas will not be considered for this position.

The Financial Systems Administrator serves as the technical owner and administrator of the organization’s financial systems ecosystem. This role is housed within the IT department and partners closely with Accounting and Finance to ensure Sage Intacct and its integrated platforms are optimized, secure, and aligned with organizational needs. This position is hands-on and highly technical, focused on system administration, automation, integrations, and continuous improvement—not day-to-day accounting activities.

This is an ONSITE role. No remote accommodations will be given. You must reside in metro Atlanta and be able to commute to and from the College Park, GA campus.

The Financial Systems Administrator will operate as the primary and sole administrator responsible for maintaining and enhancing financial systems that support operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary system administrator for Sage Intacct, including configuration, security, workflows, permissions, and roles

• Own and manage integrations and APIs between Sage Intacct and connected platforms, including Salesforce (CRM) and MARTUS (budgeting)

• Implement and manage Sage Intacct quarterly releases, including testing, deployment, and user readiness

• Lead financial systems optimization initiatives, including system clean-up, process automation, and performance improvements

• Support major system modernization and rehaul initiatives

• Implement and maintain automation for expense management, bill pay, and approval workflows

• Deploy and support AI-enabled tools (e.g., Sage Co-Pilot) for error detection and operational efficiency

• Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and reports to support forecasting and strategic decision-making

• Partner with Accounting and Finance to ensure systems align with business processes while remaining IT-owned

• Utilize Agile project management practices, including sprint planning and prioritization

• Troubleshoot system issues and provide advanced technical support related to financial systems

• Maintain system documentation, controls, and best practices

Note: This is not a traditional financial analyst role. It blends Sage Intacct system administration, a high proficiency in accounting, strong analytical ability, and familiarity with Salesforce nonprofit modules and financial system integrations. The ideal candidate will serve as the bridge between accounting operations and technology, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency across platforms.
