The Financial Systems Analyst ensures the integrity and security of financial systems by performing complex audits, managing user access controls, and ensuring compliance with FISCAM and DoD regulations.

Independently resolves intricate system access conflicts and integration issues that require in-depth analysis.

Ensures that internal controls built into finance systems are operating properly and in strict accordance with the Federal Information System Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM).

Develops and executes rigorous access validation programs and complex system audits to verify that user access levels remain appropriate and authorized.

Determines the effectiveness and adequacy of systems and to ensure systems developed are responsive to field management and top-level management requirements.

Employs advanced analytical techniques to review user activity logs and identifies obscure or sophisticated anomalies and unauthorized access attempts.

Provides expert interpretation and application of the Department of Defense Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR) as it relates to system access, security, and financial integrity.

Validates functional access documentation against evolving statutes and independently executes mitigation strategies when access risks are identified during personnel transitions or separations.
