Intern - Fund Administration Engineer (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

  • Build, test, and ship tooling that supports NAV, reconciliation, quarterly reporting, and other fund administration workflows.
  • Analyse fund, investment, and investor data using Python, SQL, Excel, and in-house tools to deliver reliable insights and reporting outputs.
  • Automate and improve operational processes, including reconciliations, regulatory filings, and control checks, with a focus on traceability, reliability, and auditability.
  • Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and MCP-based tools to accelerate development, data analysis, automation, research, and workflow design.
  • Bridge business and technology: Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand processes, identify improvement opportunities, translate requirements into technical solutions, and develop practical, scalable workflows.

Your profile

  • Academic background: Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
  • Technical & data skills: Solid knowledge of Python, SQL, Excel, and Git. Experience with software engineering fundamentals such as version control, debugging, APIs, data pipelines, and structured financial or operational data is beneficial.
  • AI, automation & agile: Experience using AI tools for software development, data analysis, automation, research, or workflow design is highly valued.
  • Business & technology mindset: Analytical and structured, with a strong interest in financial services and technology. You can understand business processes, translate requirements into technical specifications, and identify opportunities to leverage automation, data, and AI.
  • VC/PE domain knowledge: Understanding of operations in private equity and venture capital, including fund, investment, investor, and portfolio-company data flows, reconciliation, validation, and reporting is advantageous.
  • Communication: Fluent in English; German is a strong plus. You communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Availability: Full-time internship in Munich, 3–6 months starting 10/2026, after at least four completed semesters.
