Atom Resources is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading fire protection contractor experiencing significant growth.

Due to an expanding portfolio of commercial, industrial and data centre projects, we are seeking Fire Protection Design professionals at all levels, from Cadet Designers and Junior Designers through to experienced Design Engineers and Senior Design Engineers.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Construction Teams to deliver compliant fire protection designs across some of Australia's most significant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce fire protection designs using AutoCAD and Revit
• Complete hydraulic calculations
• Develop fabrication drawings and procurement documentation
• Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards
• Support Project Managers and Project Engineers throughout project delivery
• Attend design coordination meetings
• Conduct site visits and resolve design issues
• Review engineering deliverables and identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with technical compliance and quality assurance
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates across multiple levels.

Cadet / Junior Designers

• Minimum 1 year experience working within a Fire Protection business
• Exposure to AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong willingness to learn and develop

Design Engineers

• Experience producing fire protection designs
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit capability
• Understanding of Australian Standards
• Experience with commercial or industrial projects

Senior Design Engineers

• Extensive fire design experience
• Strong technical knowledge across wet and/or dry fire systems
• Ability to mentor and support junior designers
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and projects

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within the Fire Protection industry
• AutoCAD experience
• Revit experience
• Fire Protection design experience
• Strong technical understanding of fire systems
• Ability to work effectively within a project team environment

Wet Fire experience is preferred, however candidates from Wet Fire or Dry Fire backgrounds will be considered.
